Pattern making and construction

Pattern making

Pattern construction from sketch or from measurement. Fit correction, size grading, marker making. The precision you don't see, but feel on the body.

Technical outerwear

Down jackets, structured coats, luxury sportswear jackets. The most requested specialisation, handled with a consolidated method and complete documentation.

CAD pattern making

Digital pattern construction in Lectra Modaris, Optitex, Gerber AccuMark. DXF AAMA/ASTM output compatible with every industrial automatic cutting system (Lectra Vector, Gerber Z7, Bullmer, Morgan Tecnica).

Size grading

Proportional technical grading with checks on every size. Not a mathematical scale but a calibrated system that preserves the balance of the garment from XS to 3XL.

Fitting

Fitting sessions on mannequin and live model. Critical analysis of the prototype, written technical report, documented corrections for production.

Prototyping

From CAD file to first physical garment: construction verification, digital-vs-physical comparative analysis, documented changes ready for production.

Tailored garments

Made-to-measure pattern making built on the real body. From measurement to toile to final sample. For premium brands and high-end private clientele.

Technical consulting

The qualified external eye to optimise fitting, cost engineering and industrialisation process. Technical audit and production support.

Heritage archives

Digitisation and cataloguing of the brand's historic pattern making (pattern cutting) heritage. From paper patterns to a queryable CAD database ready for new collections.

Garment types

The down-filled outerwear piece is the studio’s proving ground: it is among the most complex garments to build, which is why it has been the declared specialisation since 2014. Pattern making, though, applies to any sewn garment, men’s and women’s.

Outerwear

Down jackets and padded outerwear, coats and jackets, double-faced outerwear. The garment on which the studio built its method.

Trousers

Base pattern, prototype, grading and marker making. Same method as outerwear, shorter lead times.

Sportswear and tracksuits

Zip jackets and elasticated trousers, children’s and adult sizes, complete production package for the factory.

Evening wear and runway pieces

Experience gained in ateliers and on show-line jackets. Pattern from sketch, prototype, fit correction.

Made-to-measure garments

Coats, jackets and dresses built on the real body: measurements, toile, final sample. For small-series brands and private clients.

Anatomically shaped patterns

Patterns designed from an anatomical study, for body shapes outside the standard.

Do you only work on outerwear? No. Down-filled outerwear is the specialisation and the most complex garment we build, but the studio works on every type of men’s and women’s clothing: trousers, dresses, tracksuits and sportswear, made-to-measure garments. We do not work on shoes, bags or leather goods, nor on knitwear, lingerie or bridal wear.
