A craft built slowly

Atelier ModArch was founded in 2017 in Botticino, in the heart of the Brescia manufacturing district, but the studio's technical story begins much earlier: five years of gold-star report cards at IPSIA Fortuny, Brescia, diploma with top marks, and then Milan.

At Istituto Carlo Secoli, Milano, Teresita Piacentini graduated as industrial pattern maker and product assistant, won the 2006 end-of-year fashion show and earned the CAD specialisation award course: the technical fundamentals of the fashion industry learned at the sector's leading school.

What followed were twenty years of practice: tailoring ateliers, pattern-making services, technical departments of production companies. Down-filled outerwear, luxury sportswear, structured tailored garments, knitwear: each typology has its own correct way of being built, and you only learn it by doing it — many times.

Why an independent studio

Atelier ModArch was founded in 2017 with a deliberate choice: stay small to stay good. A single pattern maker means a single technical point of contact for the client, from brief analysis to the final CAD file. No email chains, no handovers, no loss of context.

This model is not scalable by design. That is precisely the point: we only take on projects for which we can guarantee the technical depth they demand.

What working with us means

  • Contractual confidentiality. NDA on every project. Briefs, patterns, images and tech packs stay inside the studio. We do not publicly discuss even the existence of a collaboration.
  • Clear timelines and scope from the first contact. Every request receives a preliminary technical assessment within 24 working hours — free, non-binding, but complete.
  • Continuous documentation. Every construction decision is tracked: tech packs, fitting reports, versioned CAD files. The client is never left without a document to explain a production choice.
  • Real specialisation, not a slogan. Down-filled outerwear and technical sportswear require specific skills built over years: insulations, taped seams, free-hanging linings, performance fabric. It is our daily playing field.

The district, the partners

Botticino is 20 minutes from Brescia, in an area that concentrates some of the most important façonniers and luxury sportswear productions in Italy. We operate in close integration with the territory when the client requires it, but we also work with Parisian maisons that send briefs and prototypes via confidential courier.

The principles we don't negotiate on

Precision

To the millimetre, on every size. Construction tolerances are not an opinion: they are numbers.

Confidentiality

Contractual NDA, local archiving, zero sharing. Even after the project ends.

Continuity

A single point of contact from start to finish. Same person, same vision, same file.

Documentation

Every construction choice is tracked. The client can always trace back the reason for a technical decision.

Specialisation

We say "no" to projects that fall outside our technical scope. That, too, is a service.

Independence

No affiliation with façonniers or fabric suppliers. Our recommendations are free.
