Anonymised case studies.

We can't tell you who we have worked for. We can tell you what we did, on which garments and with what kind of outcome. Six examples among the many projects developed over the last twenty years.

The information that follows is descriptive and anonymised: garment type, nature of the intervention, type of outcome. No names, no images, no details that would allow client identification. If this way of describing our work seems pointless to you, we are probably not the right partner. If, on the other hand, you understand why we do it this way, you also understand why we are chosen.

Technical down jacket, Parisian maison

Women's outerwear · luxury segment · autumn capsule

Type: Long women's down jacket, 18 quilted channels with visible quilting, floating lining, retractable hood, YKK Aquaguard waterproof zips.
Starting point: Sketch + two reference garments + final fabric already selected (3-layer membrane 80 g/m² + interior leather trim).
Real timeline: 11 working days from brief to production package (pattern + grading XS-XL + 2 fitting sessions + tech pack + DXF).
Iterations: 1 rough prototype (toile) + 2 prototypes in final fabric + 1 approved sealed sample. Zero rework in production.
Result: Garment entered the collection and was carried over in the catalogue in subsequent seasons. Base pattern reused as a template for other garments in the same family.

Structured two-tone coat, Italian luxury group

Men's outerwear · high-end segment · main collection

Type: Single-breasted coat in double-face cashmere wool, tailored construction, sculpted notch lapel, partial floating lining, hand-basted seams.
Starting point: Existing client CAD pattern (developed in-house) with recurring fit issues on 3 mid-range sizes.
Intervention: CAD file audit, fit correction of the base pattern, grading recalibration on critical points (neck + shoulder + chest), 1 fitting session on a live model.
Timeline: 6 working days.
Result: Fit validated across the full size range. Client extended the engagement to other garments in the same collection, with fewer in-store returns on the mid sizes than the previous season.

Technical multi-layer sportswear, Italian performance brand

Luxury sportswear · outdoor capsule · men

Type: Jacket with 3 modular layers (waterproof shell + primaloft mid-layer + technical stretch base), 14 waterproof zips, modular cargo pockets.
Starting point: Designer concept + benchmark of three high-end sportswear competitors + technical fabrics already selected.
Technical challenge: The three layers had to be usable separately AND attachable to each other via an internal coupling system. The pattern had to guarantee sporting freedom of movement while preserving a clean urban silhouette.
Timeline: 22 working days (pattern + size grading + 3 fitting sessions with the prototype worn during real exercise).
Result: Garment launched as the season's "hero product". The modular layered construction system was adopted by the client as a proprietary solution.

Historic pattern archive, established Italian maison

Heritage · digitisation of 1970s–1990s patterns · revival capsule

Type: Digitisation of an archive of historic patterns (outerwear, dresses, tailored suits) stored on card stock in the company's physical archive. Conversion into searchable CAD ready for contemporary variants.
Starting point: Original patterns on card stock, some with handwritten annotations from the 1970s, some with partially illegible markings.
Process: Metric survey of each component, reconstruction of illegible details through cross-reference with archive photographs, digitisation in Lectra Modaris, cataloguing with metadata (year, garment, base size, original fabric).
Timeline: 9 calendar weeks, modular work in batches of 12–15 garments.
Result: CAD database searchable by year and type. Brand "revival" capsule developed on a selection of historic patterns reinterpreted in volume and fabric, bringing the archive back into current design work.

Outerwear "rescue" prototype pre-delivery

Women's outerwear · French maison · emergency intervention

Context: Client arrived 4 weeks before the press sample delivery date with the lead garment's prototype not fitting on a live model. The maison's in-house pattern maker had exhausted possible interventions on the existing file.
Intervention: Analysis of the received CAD file, identification of the issue (fit correction error on the neck scoop curve propagating across the entire bodice balance), reconstruction of the base pattern and refitting in a tight window.
Timeline: Emergency intervention, from first contact to approved sample in a few days.
Result: Garment delivered in time for the sample line. Client moved from emergency supplier to a recurring technical partner for subsequent collections.

Men's tailored capsule, Italian premium brand

Tailoring · 8 garments · industrialised couture construction

Type: 8 men's tailoring pieces (3 jackets, 2 coats, 2 waistcoats, 1 trench) developed with industrialisable semi-couture construction. Lapel hand-pressed in production, floating lining, natural interlinings.
Challenge: Preserve the brand's strong tailoring identity (recognisable by the lapel cut) while keeping the garments industrialisable at a third-party façonnier producing small batches.
Process: Coordinated pattern development to share standard pieces (undercollar, front pocket panels, sleeve linings) across multiple capsule garments. Single production package with assembly instructions specific to the façonnier.
Timeline: 7 weeks for the 8 garments.
Result: Capsule launched in a selected network of boutiques, with a good sales response in the first weeks. Client extended the operating model (a single external pattern maker for several related garments) to subsequent seasonal collections as well.
